ITANAGAR, Aug 18:The Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association has condemned the act of vandalization of the office chamber of Medical Superintendent Office, General Hospital Aalo, by a group of people who entered the chamber carrying lethal weapons and carried out the act without any provocations.
The incident took place after the official declined to provide ambulance to lift a dead body of a person who died in a road traffic accident on August 16 last.
It is pertinent to mention here that for lifting a dead body, there is a separate provision of vehicle called hearse vehicle or mortuary van. Ambulance is meant to lift patients and pregnant women, the APDA said in its statement.
The APDA further demanded the government to provide mortuary van in all government hospitals including deployment of adequate security round the clock for the safety of the health personnel and properties.
