ITANAGAR, Jun 27: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today slammed the State BJP party for observing ‘Black Day’ on June 26 last terming it as unnecessary drama to divert the attention of the citizens from prevailing issues in the country.
Speaking to media persons at the Press Club, General Secretary  Bem Maching said "BJP party is creating drama to divert the attention of citizens from issues like economic crises, unemployment and Angipath controversy and zero development in the country."
APCC also claimed that the Emergency was called after observing the situation of the country on that day, it was not for the benefit of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Even, Former BJP’s Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee never criticized Indira Gandhi, but now this BJP regime is creating unnecessary drama, said Maching.
