ITANAGAR, May 31:The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today launched a scathing attack on BJP led NDA government at the Centre in the wake of the country-wide ban on cow slaughter and has dared the Modi government to implement the order in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Congress further termed the ban anti-people action of the Centre that directly violates human rights and displaces the man-animal equation.

Alleging that the move clearly reflects the Hindutva agenda of the BJP, the Congress further urged citizens to realise and act before it is too late to repent. 

In Arunachal Pradesh, the tribal communities are mostly meat eaters which are supplied by mostly non-tribal traders. The meat trade providing sustainable livelihood to large section of people across this tribal state would be hit hard with far reaching consequences, it said in a release.
