Itanagar, Jun 25: The Arunachal Publishers & Broadcasters Guild (APBG) and the Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA) jointly condemned the recent attack on the office of Awadh TV in Itanagar.
Such an act of violence is not only unlawful but also sets a dangerous precedent for similar incidents in the future. We firmly believe that grievances related to any publication or broadcast content should be addressed through appropriate legal channels, not through intimidation or aggression.
APBG and AEDMA urged all stakeholders to uphold democratic values, maintain press freedom and seek redressal through lawful means in case of any dispute or misinformation.
Expressing solidarity with Awadh TV, APBG & AEDMA has also urged media outlets to practice caution in dissemination of news to uphold our collective commitment to a free, fair and responsible media in Arunachal Pradesh.
