Submits Memorandum of December 3 Referendum Rally

ITANAGAR, Dec 5: Following the mass referendum rally held on December 3 last, today the All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) led by its President  Nabam Dodum has submitted the 13-point memorandum to Chief Minister Pema Khandu on the APPSC Cash for Job Scam.
Speaking to the media, Dodum said "Today we have officially submitted the memorandum for early redressal of the grievances of the aggrieved aspirants. Though the state government is conducting the investigation but it’s not up to the expectations of aspirants or the student community. So we urged the state government to take immediate action."
The mass referendum rally of December 3 last is proof of the level of frustration among the students’ fraternity due to corrupt practices prevailing in society. This mass referendum rally is an eye-opener for the state government; if this time the government fails to take any stringent action then it will be the last nail in the coffin for the state government, Dodum said.
ANSU President also stated that the students community is maintaining patience for the last three months. However simply handing over the case to SIC & CBI is not enough. No one wants another PRC issue. The CMO should not make only Taket Jerang and other officials as scapegoats. There should be a deep inquiry from top to bottom, added Dodum. 
Earlier, responding to question by the media on the arrest of the former Chairperson of APPSC Nipo Nabam, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said "Have patience, if there is evidence everyone involved in APPSC job scam will be arrested. Only an allegation against any person  cannot be sufficient."
The CM further stated that the SIC and CBI are investigating the whole scam and appealed to let the Law take its own course of action.

 

SIC arrests two more government officials in 'Cash for Job' scam

ITANAGAR, Dec 5: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC)  arrested two people Golly Ketan (32)and Goy Ketan (29)in connection to the APPSCCE-2017 examination cash-for-job scam last Sunday.
Both were serving as government officials, and as such, the total number of arrested persons in the case is now 27.
SP (SIC) Anant Mittal informed that a case was registered by one Kesto Loriak and seven other deprived candidates of APPSCCE-2017, following which the SIC amalgamated all complaints related to APPSC-2014 and arrested the duo last Sunday.
He said after detailed interrogation, and technical and financial analysis of the suspects, the police arrested Golly Ketan and Goy Ketan.
Golly Ketan (32) and Goy Ketan (29) are siblings and the former served as Assistant Engineer (AE) under Public Work Department in Anini and the latter as Assistant Engineer (AE) under Urban Development department in Kaying respectively.
The entire arrest so far by the SIC is in connection to question paper leakage in APPSCCE-2017 and other examinations. The case is registered under SIC (VIG) C/No.12/2022, U/S 120(B)/420/406/409 IPC R/W Sec.7/8/13 (2) PC Act, 1988.
