ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has  served seven days ultimatum to one Chow Khatiya Manpoong and Tarh Tahar, Ex- President Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) asking the duo to write apology letters through print media for using derogatory words against the Nyishi community and hurling allegations on the union.
Addressing a press conference at the Press Club here on Thursday, ANSU President, Nabam Dodum condemned the use of the word ‘dafla’ by one Chow Khatiya Manpoong on social media  on September 1 last.
“The use of the word ‘dafla’ has hurt the sentiments of the Nyishi community and being a fellow Arunachalee as well as a teacher by profession he  should not discriminate  others”, said Dodum.
He informed that Khatiya derogatorily used the word ‘dafla’ while commenting on the on-going protest by the All Arunachal Tribal Rural Panchayat Restoration Andolan Committee (AATRPRAC) against the Deputy Chief Minister (DCM).
He further informed that the union also demands a written apology from one Tarh Tahar, ex-president AAC for alleging ANSU of negotiating issues and use of many derogatory words against the organization in an audio clip of the latter which is circulating on social media platforms.
“Tahar should be banned from attending any social programme of the community”, said Dodum, adding, ANSU shall write to the Nyishi Elite Society (NES) requesting to legally prohibit Tahar from attending social programmes of the community in near future.
