Anshu Jamsenpa conquered Mt. Everest, the world’s highest peak on Tuesday morning at 9am IST again for the fourth time setting a new record. Dawa S Lama, Managing Director at Dream Himalaya Adventure, said that Anshu Jamsenpa along with Furi Sherpa scaled the world’s highest peak successfully.

The mountaineer has earlier scaled Mount Everest thrice. The mother of two teenage children, Anshu scaled Mount Everest twice in May 2011 and again scaled the Everest on May 18, 2013.

Anshu’s double ascent expedition was flagged off this year by His Holiness Dalai Lama on April 2last from Guwahati.

Anshu had started the summit expedition after 38 days of acclimatization climbing several nearby peaks and passes and doing load ferry from Everest Base Camp to Camp 1,2,3 and Camp 4 South Col between April 4- May 12 last.

On May 13 morning she started at 2.30am IST for the final summit push and reached the top of Everest at 9am IST on Tuesday to unfurl the Indian National Flag with pride.

 

Officials at the Everest Base Camp and Kathmandu spoke to Anshu over satellite phone from highest peak of the world after unfurling the Indian Tri-colour and clicking testimonial photos. Anshu thanked all her family, friends and supporters back home. Her health is stated to be perfectly fine and is descending now to the base camp. She acknowledged supports extended by SBI, NEC, NRL, NEEPCO, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, TopCem and all her previous associates for this successful expedition.
