Itanagar, Mar 7: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today informed the house that under the Chief Minister Comprehensive Road Network Plan, all the unconnected circle offices and sub-divisional offices of the state will be connected. He said that the plan also aims at strengthening the district headquarter roads.
Kamle district will soon experience better power supply, as was informed today by Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein. He informed that the entire Ziro to Upper Kamle via Raga transmission line will soon be upgraded to 33 KV line under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and Comprehensive scheme. Presently only the line between Ziro to Tamen is fed by 33 KV dedicated express line. The line between Tamen to Upper Kamle is fed by 11 KV line. Mein also informed the house that a proposal for construction of 132/33 Kv substation, under National Infrastructure Pipeline, has been sent to Ministry of Power, which will mitigate the power supply problem of Upper Subansiri and all the neighbouring districts. He was responding to a question by Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe.
Home Minister Bamang Felix, while responding to a query by MLA Wanglin Lowangdong, informed that the government is looking for a suitable land in Tirap Changlang Longding (TCL) region to set up for a permanent DIG office and that presently, it is working out of a camp office.
Women & Child Development Minister Alo Libang, while replying to a query by MLA Ninong Ering, informed the house that if need be, the department will make efforts to enhance the salaries of Anganwadi workers. Currently they are paid Rs 6500 per month where the contribution of the State Government is Rs 2000. He also informed that 38 workers have been promoted to the post of Gram Sevika Junior, adding that for promotion, vacancy of posts as well as fulfilling certain criteria’s like 10 year experience and Class X pass certificate are mandatory. He said a graduate Gram Sevika can be promoted upto the post of Supervisor and 5 have already been promoted so.
Education Minister Taba Tedir, assured that works on the Toru Engineering College should finish by later this year, after a slight delay due to Covid and change in executing agency. He was responding to a question by MLA Nabam Tuki, who suggested posting staff at the site to expedite the work there.
Tedir also informed that a total of 222 including 18 unsung heroes, 76 martyrs and 128 freedom fighters have been found by the 4 sub committees of the Unsung heroes Committee of the state. He also said that the committee is open to any suggestion for including names in the unsung heroes list if provided with documentary evidence and research material.
