ITANAGAR, May 14: Ministers cannot decide whom to arrest nor pressurize the investigation agency. All people involved in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leakage scam should be arrested, said Union Minister for Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju while responding to questions by the media on Sunday.
Rijiju added that the investigation process is very sensitive, adding "if we pressurize the agency, some may take extreme steps like suicide. So Ministers and Government should not interfere in the investigation."
The Union law minister further said that corruption in general should not be tolerated. "I have not taken a single penny. Many projects worth thousands of crores were pumped by me in the state and I have not asked for a single penny from anyone. No one should embezzle funds," Rijiju said.
