ITANAGAR, Feb 27: Facing no response from the state government, the Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates of Arunachal Pradesh Police (ACCAPP) today staged protest demanding early redressal of their charter of demands.
Speaking to the media, one of the aggrieved candidates informed that in  2019 the Department of Home assured to sanction posts to fill all the compassionate ground candidates but till date there is no development. We had also submitted a representation to the Director General of Police on 20th December 2022, that too has had no response, he said. 
In 2019 there were only 183 candidates, but now the strength has reached up to 370.The numbers are increasing every year, how will they fill it now? questioned another candidate. Such lackadaisical attitude from the state government will compel us to sit on hunger strike in days to come, he added.
The ACCAPP is demanding free & fair selection on compassionate ground, immediate conduct of the recruitment process for the sanctioned 21 posts laying in the department, creation of more post to adjust more people under compassionate ground, recruitment process to be conducted annually  and resumption of  Physical Standard Test proposed to be held on 10th August 2022.
The protest will be held till March 1 next, and if authorities fail to respond to our demands, we may go on hunger strike, they said.
