ITANAGAR, Jul 1: A 35-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving hit a divider on Saturday morning near Dree ground between Itanagar and Naharlagun.
Initial investigations conducted by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Dekio Gumja of Naharlagun Police Station, informed that overspeeding is suspected to be the primary cause of the accident. The deceased identified as Advocate Tadar Chania reportedly lost control of his vehicle while navigating a curve near the Dree ground area. The subsequent collision with a road divider propelled his car into an electric pole positioned in the middle of the road, leading to the fatal injuries that claimed his life.
The accident resulted in severe injuries to the victim and despite prompt medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The police have since registered a case and launched a thorough investigation to gather additional details surrounding the incident.
Advocate Chania's sudden demise has sent shockwaves particularly in the local legal community.
As news of the tragic accident spreads, friends, family, and members of the legal fraternity have expressed their condolences and shared heartfelt memories of late Chania.
