Namsai, Jul 21: In a swift and targeted operation based on credible intelligence, the Anti-Drug Squad led by DySP Tage Tallang apprehended an alleged drug peddler from Kungsung village on Monday. The accused, identified as Chou Thon Monlai, was caught with 3.37 grams of suspected heroin.
The operation was carried out in the presence of Executive Magistrate Kalen Saroh, ensuring complete legal compliance. The search, seizure, and sealing of the contraband were meticulously documented using the E-Sakshya App to maintain transparency and accountability.
According to police sources, the accused attempted to flee the scene but was quickly chased down and apprehended by the squad. A case has been registered under NDPS Act.
