ITANAGAR, Apr 30: In the wake of the thunderstorm which caused massive damage at Chessa-Sunajuli area, the District Administration, Itanagar Capital Complex sprung into action and did the field assessment of the damages to ascertain the actual damage caused by the thunderstorm. To take stock of ground realities, CO Banderdewa along with the Board members accompanied by DDMO,FODM, ICC visited  Chessa village 1 & 2— the worst affected area is block 8 of Chessa I.

After interaction with PRI leaders  and villagers and site visit, the team found that approximately 95 dwelling houses (Chessa 1=25, Chessa s= 9 house, Panjuli-4 houses, Block 8= 43 Houses and Block 9=14 houses) have been damaged completely including Anganwadi center, PHC, Residential school etc. Moreover many coconut trees, banana plantation,  rubber plantation and betel nut trees have also been destroyed.  Further, after submission of the detail loss assessment report by Circle Level Relief Committee (CLRC),other government procedures will be followed.
