ITANAGAR, May 15: Social activist Sol Dodum has appealed to the SIT /SIC to expedite inquiry over alleged corruption involved in the Seppa division of PHE &WS department, misuse of funds in water treatment plant (WTP) construction and arrest of the culprit involved in the attack on him and his team.
Addressing the media persons at the press club today, Dodum said though the state government has accepted his charter of demands, the concern remains over the positive outcome through the investigation process. On many occasions, SIT and SIC failed to provide justice in such cases. Therefore, it should be clear to the state government that there should be a proper investigation into the case without any lapses.
“I do believe the police will do justice to the case by solving it in a minimum time period. In case it fails to do so, we will go against the state government through democratic movements and if necessary, we will demand for CBI inquiry,” he said, adding that evidence to his claims will be provided to the team of SIT and SIC.
“Acceptance of the state government over my charter of demands is not enough; the inquiry team has to unearth the truth and recover the entire funds mismanaged by the officials meant for the Water Treatment Plant at  Seppa,” he said.
“It is not only about East Kameng district but corruption in any part of the state is not acceptable. Hence, I will be always raising my voice against such practice,” he added.
