Itanagar, Feb 2: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a Tiranga Yatra at Ninu today, marking the 150th anniversary of the Anglo-Wancho War of 1875, a pivotal moment in India's freedom struggle.
The Tiranga Yatra aimed to honour the sacrifices of the brave warriors who fought against colonial rule. This event also commemorated the 150th anniversary of Bhagwan Veer Birsa Munda, the first tribal freedom fighter.
Saluting the bravery of the Unsung Heroes of the Wancho community, the event was graced by State Secretary, Biki Yader, State Convener Rastriya Kala Manch ( Arts & Culture), Jyathua Lukham, National Executive Council Member Jelai Wangnaw ABVP, and Tai Tagak, Chairman Namaste Bharat, Northeast India and witnessed an overwhelming response with thousands of youths and public participating in the Tiranga Yatra.
"We were proud to organize this event, which attracted nationwide attention and ensured a rich tribute to the sacrifices of our heroes," said Ms. Biki Yader State Secretary, ABVP Arunachal Pradesh.
