Khonsa, Jan 5: A long-felt communication need of the people of Dadam and Lazu Circles in Tirap district was fulfilled today with the flagging off of two transport traveller buses by MLA 56-Khonsa West Chakat Aboh in presence of the people of the constituency and officials.
The two buses will ply on the Khonsa-Dadam and Khonsa-Lazu routes. Flagging off the twin transport services, the MLA thanked the state government for fulfilling the long-cherished dream and commitment of her late husband and former Minister Food & Civil Supplies Tirong Aboh to introduce bus services in the two administrative Circles. She also expressed her gratitude to Transport Minister Nakap Nalo and General Manager STS P.N. Thungon for taking follow-up action in introducing the bus services and appealed to the people of the two Circles to extend full cooperation to the Transport department in generating government revenue through bus fare.  Speaking on the occasion, ADC Kretkam Tikhak while praising the efforts made by the MLA in bringing the twin transport services in her constituency, sought cooperation from the local people for their smooth running.

Station Superintendent, STS, Khonsa N. Songtheng informed that bus fare for Khonsa-Dadam route covering 20 km will be Rs. 50 and for Khonsa-Lazu which will cover 52 km will be Rs. 110. SP Kardak Riba, newly elected ZPM of Dadam Block Jamwang Lowang and HoDs were also present on the occasion. DIPRO
