PASIGHAT, Jun 14:  Newly elected executive members of All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) led by its President, Dozi Tana Tara visited the proposed Arunachal Pradesh University (APU) campus here on Tuesday to take  ground report.
During the visit, team AAPSU also interacted with the concerned official of the APU, and Jawaharlal Nehru College Pasighat related to the commencement of the university.
Speaking to the media, Dozi informed that, after the visit, team AAPSU will meet the Education minister and hold discussion on Arunachal Pradesh University. 
Most of the required facilities are almost completed, and  JNC official has offered their infrastructure so that academic classes can be started. Almost a decade has passed after laying of the foundation stone for the first state university, but unfortunately, academic activities is yet to start, he said.
Dozi said that the union will press for start of academic activities from this session and a regular Vice-Chancellor posted as soon as possible. He added that, the Chief Minister, as well as Education Minister, have given their assurance to the former AAPSU team to begin academic activities from this session.
President AAPSU also informed that, the team has already constituted a committee to pursue this issue as well as other issues related to students and  quality education.
