ITANAGAR, Sep 28: All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) has served 20 days ultimatum to the state government against the pending results of the Sub-Inspector under sports quota.
Speaking to the reporters at the press club on Wednesday, General Secretary –AAPSU Ritum Tali said ‘it is very painful to know that careers of many meritorious sportspersons from the state is in dilemma due to pending of results for the last many years. As per the information, their original certificate earned in various national & international sports events is with the concerned department, due to which they cannot apply for other jobs also.' 
The Union has submitted the memorandum to the Home Minister seeking his intervention on the issue. 
The recruitment of Sports quota against civil police/AAPBn & IRBn in Arunachal police was advertised on June 2018.  Accordingly, approval for conducting the pending recruitment for the post of sub-Inspector under the sports quota was held on 7th October 2021 but the results is yet to be declared by the concerned authority, stated GS AAPSU.
Further the Union has threatened to call a democratic movement if the authority failed to respond to their demands within the next 20 days.
