ITANAGAR, May 15:Armed with the data following its statewide Education & Health Survey, a delegation of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu today.

Taking serious view of the prevalent conditions with regards to the educational and health sector in the entire state, the team led by President Hawa Bagang and General Secretary Tobom Dai in a representation put forth various suggestions to the state government to be looked into on priority.

Pointing out the dilapidated nature of infrastructure all across, it has urged for one time grant for overall renovation of existing health and educational institutes in the state. Alleging lack of required attention from the authorities concerned towards the lone State University which has been functioning from the JNC, Pasighat campus since its very inception, the union has demanded a one-time budgetary allocation for full-fledged establishment of Arunachal University at Pasighat.

Regular allocation of funds for textbooks, special provision to thwart encroachment of school and hospital lands among others were highlighted by the union.
