ITANAGAR, Aug 21:Citing many genuine contractors are not getting payment due to non-release of LOC (line of credit) from state government to working agencies, the All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association (AACWA) urged the state government to immediately release LOC to various working agencies.
The AACWA also requested all working agencies to not award work to contractors in advance before maintaining the codal formalities for execution of works, which is creating misunderstanding in tendering process.
Further, the association also urged Minister of State (Home) Kiren Rijiu to conduct regular interval meeting with Chief Engineers of Border Roads Organization (BRO) to know the progress of the roads which come under their organization.
