In what could be termed as one of the poorest academic performance in recent memories, Arunachal recorded just about 43.44 pass percentage in just announced class XII (AISSCE) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi reports Jun Taki .
ITANAGAR, May 30: Guining Pertin, a student of RK Mission School, Narottam Nagar in Tirap district has topped the CBSE senior level AISSCE examination-2017 with approximately 94.6% percentage, while Anooj Sathyam of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tenga Valley and Jotika Padhi of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pasighat jointly stood second with aggregate percent of 94% each while Babloo Khapa of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tenga Valley secured the 3rd position with an overall percentage of 93.4%.
Moreover a total of 12 students have secured 90 and above percent in the just declared results.

Itanagar 91.2%, Shivanji Singh, JNV Bordumsa, 91.4%, Nani Kuru, RK Mission Narrotam Nagar, 91.2%, Byabng Amin, Green Mount School, Itanagar, 90.8%, Durja Kumari, KV Aalo, 90.83%, Dui Doji, Gyan Ganga, Itanagar, 90.4%, and Roshan Mishra ,RK Mission Narrotam Nagar, 90.4%.
However, this is probably where the good news ends as the figures below clearly suggest.
Out of a total 16614 who appeared for the exams comprising private and government schools, only 7218 students passed while 5947 students were unable to clear the Board exam.
The numbers of girls who appeared for the senior secondary board exams are 8302, while total number of boys, who appeared is 8312 boys, out of which 3861 girls and 3357 boys successfully cleared the test.
A total of 3160 students (both girls and boys) are placed under compartment list and 272 (boys & girls) were declared absent.
