NAMSAI, Dec 20: Chau Tewa Mein, MLA, Chowkham, launched the 4th Health & Wellness Centre in Arunachal Pradesh at PHC Emphum today in a brief and impressive function. It was attended by large number of public of Emphum area, the GBs, local leaders, women, ASHA workers and staff.
Mein urged the people of Emphum, spread in nine villages to avail the facilities and services being provided from the HWC. He also urged the people to extend full cooperation and hospitality to the service providers who all have left their hometowns to serve the needy people. He also sounded alarm for the diminishing population of Emphum area primarily comprising of Singpho community.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tapasya Raghav, speaking on the occasion assured to extend full cooperation from the administration. She urged the people to avail the FI (full immunization) incentives being provided to the beneficiaries and the Dulari Kanya Scheme where a girl child born in institution will benefit a cash assistance of Rs. 20,000.
Dr. Nang Soreya Namchoom, DMO, also spoke on the occasion. She congratulated the people of Emphum for being lucky to be covered under the HWC scheme.
