PASIGHAT, May 29: The long pending third local body administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School East Siang was held on Saturday. The meeting was presided by Major General Rajiv Ghai, General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division and Chairman of school LBA. 
East Siang DC Tayi Taggu, Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, Director Elementary Education Otem Tayeng, DDSE Odhuk Tabing, SE PWD Boleng Circle Gobo Yirang, EE PWD Tani Taki, EE (Edn EW) Gyamar Karo, Er Issac Toko, KV Rajesh Kumar Principal, Dr Marpe Sora, Colonel Kailash Naithani, Major Hiresh Bindaland and school Principal Commander Praveen Kumar Pola  attended the meeting.  
During the meeting the Board reviewed the progress made by the school from                   28 April 2019 till date and discussed the future course of action for the progress of the school. The Principal as Member Secretary briefed the General Officer and Board members about academics, administration, recruitment, regularisation, budget etc through a detailed power point presentation. 
During his opening and closing address, the General Officer appreciated the Principal for his dynamic leadership and making the school a better place of learning and a beautiful campus within a short span of nine months with available staff and resources despite being lone officer with many odds and constraints.
Ghai also expressed gratitude to the state government for Grant in Aid to the school and a good scholarship to the APST cadets. 
The Principal informed the Board about various assistances and freebies being provided to the cadets by Central and State Governments. With regard to shifting of Sainik School to Bilat from Niglok, the Board unanimously passed a resolution stating that the school can be relocated only after commissioning of the complete campus with requisite infrastructure of RCC structures and black top roads including other day to day amenities for cadets and staff. As the Bilat campus will be available probably by 2027, the Board asked the state government to continue the fund flow for day to day infrastructural needs at the present campus.
The Board re-elected Dr Marpe Sora as school Parent Representative for the academic year 2022-23.
