Itanagar, Sep 9: The 3rd International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies awareness programme was conducted at Amar Jyoti school, Chimpu today.
The DC Capital Itanagar Talo Potom graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the awareness campaign.
Interacting with the students and staffers, he emphasised to maintain cleanliness and save the environment for ‘Clean Air for Blue Skies'.
In the opening remarks Dr. Giri Tali, i/c DMO -cum- DNO-Climate change, ICC stated that the 3rd International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies is observed under the theme – ‘ The Air we Share “. The programme was primarily focused on the awareness campaign on air pollution and its health impact and intervention with specific focus target group on women, children, IMC workers, Traffic Policeman.
Dr. Tamar Paley, Asst. Prof. (Chest & TB ) TRIHMS briefed about Air pollution and its health impact. The programme was followed by yoga demonstration for healthy living and painting competition.
The four winners and sixty participants were awarded with certificates & prizes by DC, Capital.
