Deomali, Feb 24: A three -day national Book Fair & Literary Camp is being organized by the District Administration, Deomali in collaboration with National Book Trust (NBT), Guwahati and Wangcha Rajkumar Govt. College, Deomali from February 23-25 which was inaugurated by ADC, Deomali, Vishakha Yadav.
In her address, the ADC encouraged young minds to work hard and excel in life. Sam Korok, ZPM Soha emphasized on the importance of reading habits to be inculcated among young minds to lead a happy and contended life. Wangphoon Lowang, ZPM Deomali thanked the college fraternity for coming up with creative ideas and programmes to build the characters of the students.
Earlier in his welcome note, Dr. Monshi Tayeng, Principal,W.R.Govt. College, Deomali highlighted the importance of education in moulding the directions of young minds in the right directions. Despite limited resources, the college is striving towards producing skilled and talented human resources for the growth of society, he said.
During Career Counseling, Taiwang Wangsa, Assistant Professor, deliberated on career options after graduation and advised the students to have dreams to move forward in their lives. Khinwang Socia, Assistant Engineer (RWD), Longding in his presentation advised the students to have determination and perseverance in order to achieve their set goals in life. He added, there is no substitute to hard work.
Ms. Vishakha Yadav (IAS), ADC Deomali while interacting with the young minds of the college reminded them of the importance of knowing the syllabus of any competitive examinations. She deliberated in detail on how to prepare for UPSC Civil Service Examination and added that, ‘Syllabus is the Bible to crack any competitive exams.'
The three day programme includes Career Counseling, Poem Recitation and Extempore Speech.
