NAMSAI, Mar 15: The 2nd edition of ‘Arunachal e-Pragati’ chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu was conducted today here from the DC’s office through a virtual mode, participated by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Deputy Commissioners, officers from central government agencies and field officials.
While monitoring the progress of various central and state government projects, Khandu stressed on speedy execution of the Joram-Koloriang road and Hollongi Airport. Expressing satisfaction over the progress of Miao-Vijoynagar road, he asked the executing agencies for early completion of tendering process and commencement of works for upgradation of the district hospitals. Monitoring the progress of Sela tunnel, the CM assured the BRO officials full cooperation from state government’s behalf and urged them to accelerate the work. To achieve the objective of transforming all government offices into digital entities, Khandu informed that from April onwards the department of Finance and Planning will accept files only in electronic mode, replacing the paper-based system.
This will ensure transparency and put a curb on corruption, he observed. The CM further directed the DCs to identify the NGOs working for divyangjans, orphans, aged people and destitute at their respective districts so that the state government could extend grant-in-aids to them. While instructing the DCs to identify the genuine and trustworthy NGOs with good track records, he also stressed on identifying the lesser known ones, but doing commendable work.
The next monthly ‘e-pragati’ meeting will cover the pending land acquisition and forest clearance issues. Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom also attended the meeting. CMO
