PASIGHAT, July 15:  As part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, 20 Dogra Regiment of Rayang Military Station today organised ‘continuity drill, military band and weapon/ equipment display at Sainik School East Siang (SSES) on behalf of HQ 103 Infantry Brigade. 240 cadets of Sainik School, 143 students from Govt Secondary School Ngorlung and 80 students from Govt Higher Secondary School Ruksin along with 20 teachers witnessed the event.
Squadron Leader Gaurav Sheoran who is also the Administrative Officer (AO) of the Sainik School, East Siang coordinated the event while Colonel Sidhart Bhanot, the Commanding Officer of the Battalion presided over the event. East Siang DDSE Odhuk Tabing graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Military Band Contingent of 20 Dogra led by Naik Satpal and Sepoy Sahil Mehra presented the concert of drill and music along with 45 other ranks. Subedar Nardeep Singh led the weapon/ equipment display in which Radio Set DMR, AK 47, Insas Rifle, Pistol 9 MM, LMG etc were displayed. The cadets and students got first-hand experience of weapons and equipment.
During his interaction with cadets and students, Colonel Sidhart Bhanot motivated them to join Armed Forces which are Pride of our Nation.
