ITANAGAR, Sep 3: In all 19 top ranked shuttlers of the state on Sunday left for Mizoram to participate in the North East Inter State Zone Badminton Championship-2017, which is scheduled to be held at Aizwal from September 5-8 next.
A send-off ceremony in this regard was organized by Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) at the MLA Badminton Stadium here earlier in the day in which Sports Authority of Arunachal chairman, Bamang Tago and ASBA joint secretary, Penya Bagra participated.
The duo in their respective speeches wished the players success for the tournament and expressed confidence that they will bring laurels for the state.
The players representing Arunachal Pradesh in different categories are Laa Takum, Bamang Penko, Raja Gupta, Asif Khan, Lunku Sih, Laa Talar, Jokam Riba, Kalung Taki, Rahul Thapa, Bika Lakai, Laa Yajum, Yumiam Mopi, Kapu Rumi, Ingam Potom, Dolma Tamang, Pinky Karki, Taring Tania, Tania Yasap and Apali Mega.
NL Togu, Pema Ladon and Nich Bapu are accompanying the team as manager, coach and technical staff respectively.
