NAHARLAGUN, Aug 17: Altogether 11 contestants were selected for the mega audition of Northeast Idol- 2019 from the State during the one-day state level audition  organized in a city hotel here today.
A total of 64 contestants participated in the audition from across the state. The selected candidates will compete with other singers from northeastern states in the mega audition which will be held at Guwahati on 14th September next.
Meanwhile, program chairman Nabam Amzi Tajo while highlighting the objective of the talent hunt program said that it aims to promote cultural exchange and to develop mutual understanding between the people of the Northeast states.
“Through Northeast Idol 2019 our main objective is to provide an opportunity to the youth to explore and understand more about cultures, traditions, societies, languages and much more of NE states,” he emphasized. Meanwhile, similar State level audition will be organized on 24th August in other NE states too. 
Singers, Jelly Kayi, James Biznoo Nabam, and Ashok Tajo Sonam were the judges of the audition. 
The names of the selected contestants are -Meenam Goi,  Alar Dupak, Devokanta,  Radheya Byang,  LikhaYari, Neelam Ak,  Tony Paleng, Marpi Bam, Vicky Dolo, Jikke Bhai and Bijay Dorjee. Newsdesk
