Governor participates in kite-flying festival
Itanagar, Sep 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the State, and in particular, to the people from Kerala who are serving and contributing in various walks of life in the State, on the auspicious occasion of Onam. He expressed hope that the festivity would usher in peace, prosperity, and happiness to every household and strengthen the bonds of harmony across our nation.
The Governor, in his message, said that Onam, the cherished festival of thanksgiving, rooted in the fertile land and rich traditions of Kerala, is a celebration of the harvest season and a tribute to the legendary King Mahabali, whose spirit of justice, equality, and welfare continues to inspire generations. The colourful rituals, cultural expressions, and joyous festivities of Onam reflect the timeless values of togetherness, gratitude, and community spirit. This festival beautifully reminds us of India’s strength in unity in diversity, as people of all faiths and backgrounds come together to rejoice in a spirit of brotherhood, he said.
May this year’s Onam further strengthen our collective resolve to live with compassion, harmony, and mutual respect, the Governor wished in his message.
