ITANAGAR, Jul 30: The All Arunachal Pradesh Contractors Welfare Association(AACWA) in a release has called for immediate cancellation of the notice inviting tender (NIT) called by Block Development Officer, Mechuka for execution of eight packages of civil works citing discrepancies in the tender process.
In a representation to Secretary, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Department of Tirap, Changlang and Longding , AACWA while justifying its demands informed that as per allocation of business framed by the state government, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj cannot execute any kind of civil works.
It called for implementing the tender through an engineering department questioning how a non-engineering department can execute civil works without involving the Engineering department.
