 ITANAGAR, Mar 10:  PRI members from 12th & 13 Pakke-Kesang and 14th  Seijosa  constituency  has urged the  Minister for Water Resource Department to immediately open the tenders floated against various projects of flood control under State Annual Development Agenda (SADA) 2016-17  before the end of this  financial year.

Addressing reporters at press club today, ZPM, Pakke-Kessang,  T Gollo informed that the concern WRD has sanctioned few projects in the flood prone areas of Seijosa and Pakke-Kessang but due to misinformation and people with vested interest, the said projects were suspended by the concern Minister.

The entire Pakke-Kessang constituency is flood prone area and every year torrential rain creates havoc in the area, so considering the situation authority under the guidance of local MLA had sanctioned at least ten projects to avert repeated  flood damages , added the ZPM.

‘We are only concerned over the development project in our area and we don’t bother whoever grab the tender but we need the said project to save our constituency,’ said Gao Burah,Takam Nabam. He further added that  MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju also shared   his  concern over repeated flood in Seijosa  with the Home Minister of Assam and requested him to take requisite measure  in collaboration with government of  Arunachal recently.

While slamming certain individuals for halting the development projects, GB opined that verification reports by Superintendent Engineer, Jamiri   clearly states that there is no duplicity or overlapping in the allotted projects.

Joining the demand for immediate opening of tenders and execution of works, Chairperson, ASM 13th Pakke-Kesang, Devi Tallang and  Chairperson  ,ASM 14th Seijosa  Renu Kino urged the authority to execute the project before the next monsoon.
