PASIGHAT, May 15: Reaffirming its commitment towards operational preparedness and troop welfare, the Spearhead Gunners, under the aegis of Spearhead Division, inaugurated the “Ashiyana” Transit Facility at Sigar Military Station for troops in transit.
The facility has been developed to provide a comfortable, efficient and mission-oriented transit halt for personnel operating in challenging operational environments. Equipped with essential amenities, Ashiyana aims to enhance convenience, morale and overall well-being of troops moving to and from forward locations.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued focus on creating welfare-oriented infrastructure while simultaneously strengthening operational efficiency and readiness. By ensuring improved living and transit conditions for troops, the facility is expected to significantly contribute towards sustaining high morale and combat effectiveness.
Senior military officials present during the inauguration highlighted the importance of robust support infrastructure in enabling soldiers to perform their duties with greater efficiency and confidence in demanding terrain and weather conditions.
