ITANAGAR, Jan 21: In a remarkable breakthrough, the Itanagar Police successfully solved a series of burglary cases, leading to the recovery of several stolen items, including mobile handsets, LPG cylinders, and a guitar. The case began with a report filed by one Moken Loyi, a resident of Chandan Nagar, Itanagar, who informed the police that his house had been broken into on January 7, while he was away. The intruder had stolen a Samsung mobile handset, LPG cylinders, and a guitar from his residence.
Following the complaint, a case (Itanagar PS Case No. 10/2025) was registered under sections 331(3)/305(a) BNS 2023. A dedicated police team, led by Inspector K. Yangfo, Sub-Inspector Randhir Kr Jha (Investigating Officer), Assistant Sub-Inspector Tage Nima, Assistant Sub-Inspector Marki Kamgo, and Constable Jumli Zirdo, worked under the supervision of Shri Kengo Dirchi, SDPO, Itanagar. Their relentless efforts and meticulous investigation quickly led to the identification and arrest of the accused,  Taba Rajiv, an 18-year-old resident of Gohpur Tinali, near the Donyi Polo Gas Agency office.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in several thefts, revealing that he had stolen multiple LPG cylinders, mobile handsets, cash, and other items from various locations. Rajiv also admitted to committing a major burglary at the Fatafat Store near Hanuman Mandir, Ganga, where he had stolen Rs. 3,00,000 in cash.
As a result of the police’s swift action, several stolen items were recovered, including seven LPG cylinders, five mobile handsets, and the guitar.
In recognition of the police team's dedication,Rohit Rajbir Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Itanagar, commended their efforts in solving two major burglary cases and assured a suitable reward for the team, stated a release.
