ITANAGAR, Apr 17: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the State on the solemn and sacred day of Good Friday.
In his message, the Governor said that Good Friday calls us to look within to remember Christ's compassion in the face of suffering, and the boundless mercy that flowed from the cross. His selfless act of love is a guiding light, encouraging us to lead lives filled with kindness, forgiveness, and humility. As we embrace the spirit of this holy day, let us hold close the values that unite us: faith in goodness, love for our fellow beings, and hope for a brighter tomorrow, he said.
May this day of reflection bring peace to your heart, healing to your soul, and inspire us all to be instruments of compassion in the world around us, the Governor wished. “On this solemn day of Good Friday, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all our Christian brothers and sisters across Arunachal Pradesh and beyond,” stated Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a message this evening on the holy occasion.
He said that Good Friday is a day of deep reflection and reverence, marking the supreme sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ for humanity.
“His teachings of love, forgiveness, and compassion continue to inspire us all, regardless of our faith or background. It reminds us of the strength found in humility and the power of sacrifice for the greater good,” Khandu added.
On this sacred day, he called upon all, to reach out to one another with kindness and support, especially to those in need, and reaffirm shared commitment to peace, harmony, and brotherhood.
“May the message of Good Friday strengthen the bonds of our diverse communities and guide us towards a more just and compassionate society.Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed Good Friday,” Khandu said in the message.
