Itanagar, July 21: Don Bosco School emerged as the champion of Under -9 age category in the ongoing Arunachal Blue Cubs League 2024 as they defeated Dawnlit Academy by 5-0 in the Final Match played today at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun. Meanwhile, Kombo Weekend FC registered 2-0 win against Highland Academy in the third place match played earlier today at the same venue. 
Arunachal Blue Cubs League 2024 for U-9 and U-12 Categories is being organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association in collaboration with ISL side Northeast United FC.
League for U-9 category concluded today after commencing for one month. While, league round of U -12 is still in process.
Kipa Takum, Sr. Vice President, APFA and John Neelam, Vice President, APFA, along with members from DFAs attended the final and third place match to encourage the players and organising committee members.
A mixed gender competition is an initiative to encourage young kids to remain fit and involve them in physical activities along with their studies. Matches under the league are only played on weekends.
Total four teams in the U-9 category and eight teams in U-9 category  participating in the maiden edition of the League this year.
