Changlang, Oct 23: The Changlang District Administration under the initiative of deputy commissioner Dr.Devansh Yadav, in association with One Stop Centre(OSC) and India Foundation for Education Transformation (IFET),Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society(APWWS), Miao unit conducted one day workshop at Miao township for setting up community libraries in the district involving 12 volunteers. 
The occasion was graced by Padmashri awardee Sathyanarayan Mundayoor, popularly known as Uncle Moosa, who played the instrumental role  in starting the library movement in Lohit. The DC and ADC Miao Sunny Singh attended the program wherein they motivated the volunteers and gave them the exclusive opportunity to work with the district administration. They encouraged the youths to take up developmental activities in their community with respect to education, healthcare, women rights etc. to their full potential. District Administration  also assigned '10 points action plan' to the volunteers on varied fields for on-ground implementation in 12 villages over the period of next 3 months which include Zero dropouts, 100% CMAAY, 100% Marriage registration, No to drugs, Library movement  etc.
The workshop was an interesting affair wherein volunteers from Tezu under Lohit Youth Library Network and Forum of Activist of Lohit Youth Libraries demonstrated insightful workings of oral dictation, skit and skillful performance showcasing concept of contemporary library setup.  The workshop is a step towards cultivating reading habits amongst the children and youths.
IFET has played a major role since the inception of the project to the selection of the volunteers.Their contribution for setting up community libraries at Diyun circle has been a source of inspiration for the volunteers.APWWS has been actively working on various women issues in the district and will be the nodal organization working in the three month programme.
