Chimpu, Jul 19: The Arunachal Pradesh State Unit of All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC), the apex organization of bank officers in the country having more than 3.5 lacs Bank officers as its members, celebrated the 55th Banks Nationalization day with a tree plantation program here at VKV Chimpu.
On the occasion the AIBOC  also donated water filters and dustbins to the school.
Speaking on the occasion, the State Secretary of AIBOC, Kukung Tayeng said that the employees of Public Sector Banks have played a crucial role in upholding national values and serving citizens with the utmost commitment. They have endured a variety of economic cycles, exhibited resilience and continued to provide vital banking services uninterrupted even during difficult covid period and during calamites, he said.
He further informed that AIBOC has launched a country wide movement “Bank Bachao Desh Bachao” to fight against privatisation of Public Sector Banks in India.
Tenzin Yanki, President of AIBOC Arunachal Pradesh Unit urged the policymakers, regulators and other interested parties to recognise the invaluable contributions of public sector banks and their employees by addressing their legitimate demands.
