ZIRO, Jul 17:
The 2nd phase of ACF (Active Case Finding), for Tuberculosis in prioritized areas especially targeting all boarding schools in the Ziro Valley was launched today by the District Health Society under the RNTCP program.
District Tuberculosis Officer, Dr. Tage Nibo, launched the drive at VKV School, Ziro during which a total of 446 students and teachers were screened and 35 suspects were subjected to sputum examination.
In the 14 days programme till July 31 next, the DHS (RNTCP) will conduct symptomatic TB screening in all boarding schools in Ziro valley and a couple of villages, under the jurisdiction of Gyati Takka General Hospital and CHC, Old Ziro.
