ITANAGAR, Jul 17:
An IRBn personnel was arrested by the Capital Police for allegedly robbing a shopkeeper at gun point recently. The personnel has been identified as Constable Sitap Chader of 5th IRBN.
Earlier a police registered a case vide No-181/16 u/s 386 IPC r/w 25 1(B)(A) Arms Act in connection with the robbery. B Das was robbed off his cell phone at gunpoint.
Based on suspicion of his involvement in the case, Chader was called to the Police station for interrogation on the basis of Call Detail Records and information from sources.
It came to light during interrogation that the personnel used his service gun to commit the crime. Further a team led by Sub –inspector, SS Jha conducted search at his residence at Pachin Colony and recovered the weapon 9mm browning, service pistol.
