PASIGHAT Mar 31: In a six day long developmental tour programme at his assembly constituency beginning from today, MLA 39thMebo cum Advisor to Chief Minister, Lombo Tayeng accompanied by Addl. Dy. Commissioner, Mebo, Yemling Tayeng, ZPM Mebo Banggo, Oling Perme, ASM Chairperson Mebo Banggo, Dinesh Mepola, host of officers and PRI leaders visited Seram, Kongkul and Namsing villages today.
At Seram and Kongkul villages the PRI leaders and village heads presented their grievances before the local legislator and sought help for construction of river embankment at Siang river side, building of community/cultural hall and school quarters etc. On his part, Tayeng assured funds for the purposes. While at Namsing village, Tayeng sanctioned additional Rs. 7 lakhs funds for ongoing flood control measures taken up by the villagers at Namsing side making it to Rs. 10 lakhs (Rs. 2 lakhs sanctioned by him previously and Rs. 1 lakh from ADC Mebo). In view of the continuous threat from flood damages to Namsing village and as appealed by the public through representation, Tayeng also sanctioned Rs. 10 lakhs each for immediate flood protection at Jopong/Sanctuary and Tarotamak side besides sanctioning of Rs. 6 lakhs funds for construction of a culvert for passage of rain water. He also sanctioned 3 room bachelor barrack for PHC Namsing.
In the public speech, Addl Dy.Commissioner, Mebo, Yemling Tayeng urged people to be co-operative in the developmental works initiated by the government. He also appealed people to stop hunting in D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary which is an asset of all. He also appealed people of Namsing to allot a free land for a police Check gate to be established shortly on public appeal.
Speaking on the occasion, ZPM Mebo Banggo, Oling Perme appreciated the work carried out by the MLA.
MLA Tayeng stated that, development is his priority and prerogative. He said that, after the completion of renovation work of all road networks in his constituency, he is going to focus on health, education and power connectivity. He also informed the people that, double laning of Mebo-Dhola Road has been approved by NEC with Rs. 285 Crores which once completed will take Mebo to newer development. He also lauded the unity and hard working people of Namsing village while taking reference of mustard vegetable (locally called, ‘Petu Oying’) being very popular in Pasighat market. He also informed that, the Namsing CO office will also start functioning shortly with its inauguration attended by Chief Minister, Pema Khandu among others.
